North Island Endurance 2009 Press Release

The 2009 North Island Endurance Series is about to begin in a couple of months so it’s time to get some information out to competitors and any interested parties that may wish to take part in this year’s series
The 2009 series will be run over two rounds this year, the first at Pukekohe and the final round at Taupo
The dates of the rounds are Pukekohe on Saturday 16th May and Taupo on Saturday 6th June 2009
With the economic climate at the moment we feel that only running two successful rounds makes more sense for the clubs rather than trying three rounds and not having full felids at each event which could put the clubs at financial risk
Also after last year’s series we had a lot of issues with the Manfeild organiser’s which we haven’t been able to resolve so we won’t be running a round at Manfeild this year.
We will next year be running a third round which will be run at the new Hampton Downs circuit which will create a three round series in 2010
One thing that we will try and do is make sure that the two rounds run this year We will require from all competitors a commitment to run at both rounds
Should we not receive enough entries for the two rounds then we may consider not running a series this year, as we don’t want to put the two clubs at any financial risk at the moment
